Work to begin in a few days cutting down dead and dangerous trees and branches in Garitsa-Anemomylos Parks

Deputy Mayor Theoharis Yiotis and Garitsa Park Cultural Society President Alekos Vergis inspected Garitsa-Anemomylos Park this morning.
Association members were also present along with Central Corfu municipal agronomist Mr. Zaragas at the inspection to determine which dead and dangerous trees and branches need to be cut down.
Both the Garitsa and Anemomylos parks were inspected and both the municipality and the association agreed in the main part as to which trees need to be removed and these were marked.
Theoharis Yiotis told Enimerosi that they will begin cutting down the dead and dangerous trees in the next few days along with the pruning of shrubs and general beautification of the park.
"We agreed in the main part on which dead and dangerous trees should be cut down in the two parks," he said. "The aim is to regenerate the area in harmony with the residents."
