CORFU. The Christmas Fairy Tale will remain open throughout the festive season.
The Christmas Fairy Tale was officially opened last night on St. Spyridon's Day. Young and old visited the Christmas Village and enjoyed the opening events.
The opening had been delayed by two days due to adverse weather conditions.
Mayor Meropi Ydraiou addressed those gathered at the opening ceremony.
According to Central Corfu Municipality, which is organising the Christmas Fairy Tale, there will be a lot of surprises, events, gifts for children, tiganites and plenty of mulled wine.
There will be daily events with dance schools, cultural societies and dance groups until 6 January. There will also be 3,000 bags with children's gifts handed out, which were prepared with the help of volunteers and sponsors.
