CORFU. The chemist Aggeliki Kosmopoulou represented the Skripero Junior High.
Through photographs that were displayed at the Skripero Junior High, there was a tour of CERN, which is the largest (experimental) nuclear research centre in the world and in particular on particle physics.
Specifically, the CERN Education Department, in collaboration with the Organising Committee for the seminars in Greece, organised, for the 12th year, two training seminars for teachers at the CERN facilities in Geneva.
In the first seminar, which took place between 28 August and 31 August, Skripero Junior High was represented by the chemist Aggeliki Kosmopoulou.
The seminar included lectures, visits, exhibitions and workshops, which aimed to introduce the participants to the magical world of particle physics.
The seminar was sponsored by the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation.
