First school sit-ins of the year

CORFU. Sit-ins at South Corfu schools
Pupils have been back at school for less than a month and the sit-ins have already begun.
The first one was yesterday at Lefkimmi High School, where a small group of pupils and some other non-pupils decided to put a padlock on the school gate and no lessons could be held.
Parents intervened on Wednesday night and the sit-in ended, with lessons going ahead as normal today.
Meanwhile, pupils at Argyrades Junior High & High School began a sit-in this morning.
According to the ionian Islands Regional Director of Education Petros Aggelopoulos, lessons are continuing online.
