Those with a tax number (AFM) ending in 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 can apply today (Wednesday 27 April).
There were over 200,000 applications for the Fuel Pass in less than 24 hours, while it was announced that today (April 27) more people will be able to apply than it was initially announced.
Specifically, those with a tax number (AFM) ending in 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 can apply today (Wednesday 27 April). Tomorrow, Thursday, the first round of applications could be completed earlier, as anyone with a tax number ending in 6, 7, 8 or 9 will also be able to apply.
It is expected that by Friday all beneficiaries, regardless of their tax number, will be able to apply, with the process proceeding quickly.
The amount of aid ranges from €30 to €50 and depends on the type of vehicle and the main residence of those entitled, while the platform will open gradually, based on the last digit of the citizens' tax number.
Beneficiaries of the programme can submit their application online at vouchers.gov.gr, using their Taxisnet codes. The applicant must fill in and update their contact details and, especially, their e-mail and mobile phone number. If they choose to have the amount paid into a bank account, they must also fill in their IBAN number. They will also be able to apply through KEP offices.
How is the amount being paid?
The amount can be paid in two ways:
- Either by issuing a digital debit card which beneficiaries can use to purchase fuel via their smart phone
- Or by direct payment of the amount to the beneficiary's bank account, for those who do not have a smart device or do not wish to use it for this process
The bank account must belong to one of the following banks participating in the programme:
- Alpha Bank
- Piraeus Bank
- National Bank
- Eurobank
- Viva
- Pancreta Bank
