Social Cooperative giving another food package to those in need

Central Corfu Municipal Community Shop will be giving another food package on Monday 27 December to support 212 families.

The managing director of the Social Cooperative 'New Horizons' Thanasis Papavlassopoulos told Enimerosi that in addition to the two monthly packages they receive, the beneficiaries will get another package for the festive period.

The package will include pulses, pasta, flour, milk, sugar, tomato paste, tsoureki, soft drinks and chocolates.

Following the article by Enimerosi on 22 December about the increase in the number of people needing help from the Community Shop run by the municipality and the Social Cooperative, a lot of locals expressed their desire to help.
