CORFU. The print edition of Enimerosi will not be published on Wednesday 14 July, the day of her funeral.
Egli, mother of Christina Gerekou, passed away at her Gerekou Island home on Sundau 11 July. The print edition of our newspaper Enimerosi will not be published on Wednesday 14 July, the day of her funeral.
A worthy, hard-working woman who lived her life bravely to the end. She worked in the finance department of the civil service until she retired and led a loving life with her husband Kostas Gerekos. She had two children, Christina and Alexis, and a grandson Konstantinos.
The funeral will take place on Wednesday evening, 14 July, at Kontokali Cemetery.
We all considered her a member of our family and offer our condolences to our colleague Christina and her family. May she rest in peace.
