ATHENS. Aegean receives Skytrax 4-Star COVID-19 Airline Safety Rating.
Aegean has been placed among the top 4 carriers in the world in the awards recently announced by Skytrax, the international air transport rating agency and reference point for the industry
The 4-Star COVID-19 Airline Safety Rating was awarded for the airline's health and safety measures. It was certified that from the beginning of the pandemic until today and at each stage of travel, is implementing the highest standards and best practices proposed by the World Health Organization, ICAO and IATA for the protection of passengers and crew.
The Skytrax rating, based on real travel experience data, certifies the consistency and effectiveness of the health and safety measures applied by Aegean, both at the airport and in-flight. The Safety Rating recognizes good airport processing standards that include some elements of contactless technology, customer handling, and social distancing protocols for check-in, boarding, and arrival as well as cabin cleanliness and onboard catering etc.
The COVID-19 Airline Safety Ratings evaluate airport and onboard standards from a variety of flights audited for each airline to assess standards, to determine how effectively COVID-19 enhanced systems and procedures are performing.
