ATHENS. EODY announced 264 new confirmed cases on Saturday 22 August, of which 29 were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 8,381, of which 55.1% are males. 1,832 (21.9%) of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 3,842 (45.8%) are from contacts with known cases.
31 patients - 7 female, 24 male - are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 68 and 41.9% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 143 patients have been discharged from ICUs
There were 2 deaths today, taking the total number of fatalities to 240. 84 (35%) were females and the average age was 77. 94.6% had underlying health conditions or were over 70
