Corfu hotel employees protest in Old Fortress

The protestors marched through the streets of Corfu Town, passing through Liston before gathering in the Old Fortress.





Union President Stamatis Pellais said, "NTO President Angela Gerekou will meet with the Central Corfu Mayor, the Ionian Islands Regional Governor and others who control our tourism in this idyllic spot by the sea to discuss what is going to happen with tourism - but without the workers being present. That's why we're here, so that they have to pass by us - the chambermaid, dishwasher, cook, and waiting staff that serve the customers."
