Tsiodras and Hardalias visit Larissa amidst protests from residents

ATHENS. They presented a picture which, although not ideal, was different from that captured by TV cameras during their visit to the Roma settlement in Nea Smirni, Larissa.
In his daily update Prof. Tsiodras stressed that the Roma are not a threat but a vulnerable group due to the poverty and density of their settlements. He asked for understanding and cooperation. He responded to the protests by insisting that a climate of cooperation with the authorities must be maintained.
