CORFU. Monday 27 January at 19:30 at the Holocaust Memorial in Spilia.
The memorial is being organised for the third year running by the local group from the Shades Magazine website.
Shades Magazine's invitation: "The local group from Shades Magazine is organising a memorial ceremony at the Holocaust Memorial for the third year running.
Along with the traditional Star of David we will also be lighting 6 candles of different sizes and shapes, which symbolise the 6 million Jewish Holocaust victims.
We will honour cultural differences, integration and the size of the European Jewish community which has been lost forever as well as the age-groups, professions and classes to which these people belonged.
In Spilia, at the edge of the Jewish Quarter, it is easier to recall memories.
