Two new taxi ranks in San Rocco and Kanoni

CORFU. The decision to create two new taxi ranks had been taken in summer 2019 by the previous local authority.
The taxi rank in Giorgiou Samartzi St. replaces the one that previously existed in Scholemvourgou St. but was removed when the area was pedestrianised. The taxi rank in Kanoni aims to relieve traffic congestion in the area.
The President of the Union of Taxi Owners Nikos Kapsokavadis told Enimerosi: "The new taxi rank in Kanoni is important for both the public and taxi drivers because of the amount of daily traffic. We had requested a taxi rank between the one that exists on Garitsa shore road and Kanoni because of the number of tourists in the area."
