CORFU. DIPETHE (Municipal & Regional Theatre) is organising its annual festival ΄Town-Stage΄.
In collaboration with the Ionian University, DIPETHE actors, musical groups and artists we want to rediscover the Town - transform it, talk about it and look at its hidden parts with a new perspective.

'Our Foreigners' - A walk that will end in music and theatre with teenage pupils under the auspices of the Panhellenic Drama and Education Network, the 'What if it were you?' Programme and the UNHCR for refugees in Greece. With the support of the Antiquities Inspectorate and the Ministry for Culture.
50 pupils from four Corfu high schools put on a theatrical performance about refugees in Corfu in the 19th and 20th centuries.

'Trilogy of Supplicants'
Performance of the 3 tragedies 'The Suppliants - The Suppliant Maidens - 'Heracleidae' by the actors Spyros, Sklavounos, Alexandra Payiataki and Sophia Tombrou with dance participation of actors and the public.

'Mantzaros' Philharmonic Society
Camerata Vocalis conducted by Rosa Poulimenou, Soloists - Anastasia Tzilianou and Alexandros Komnas.
There will also be a performance of part of the mass 'The Armed Man' by Sir Karl Jenkins which was commissioned by the Royal Armouries Museum for the Millennium celebrations and dedicated to victims of the Kosovo crisis. It is essentially an anti-war piece.

'Picture Postcard'
Workshop for children of all ages which will finish with a walk through the town accompanied by parents.
Discover the town and collect materials to create our own picture postcards and souvenirs of the town and its history.

Open discussion between students and the public inspired by Kostas Georgakis' sacrifice. Organised by Hellenic Students Community.
Inspired by student Kostas Georgakis' desperate act in Genoa on 19 September 1970, students from the Ionian University will be holding an open discussion with the public about the ideals and values that they are willing to fight for today.
