International Choir Festival: Enthusiastic reception for Pop Evening

CORFU. The pop hits turned the concert into a big party.
Corfu's cosmopolitan nature was at the forefront yesterday with the parade of all the choirs in the Corfu International Choir Festival.
1,500 singers from 20 countires in 3 continents paraded through the historical centre. The yset off from the Gymnasium and passed through the Old Town before ending up at the Old Fortress for the official welcome.
There then followed a Pop Evening with choirs from Poland, Argentina and Britain along with Voting Committee member Tobias Hug - who managed to turn the concert into a big party! It didn't take long for the crowd to get up out of their chairs and start singing and dancing along with the pop hits.
