Origami workshop at the Museum of Asian Art

CORFU. The Japanese Embassy and Corfu Museum of Asian Art are organizing an origami workshop with Mr. Sonoko Fujii, Origami Master, who comes from Japan to teach in the Greek language.
This year the origami workshop is dedicated to the Irish-Greek poet Patrick Lafcadio Hearn, who lived in Japan in the 19th century and promoted Japanese literature and tradition in the West.
Participants will be given a guided tour of the Museum's exhibition: 'Lafcadio Hearn. The Unknown Japan' which includes rare editions with selected essays by Hearn and other original documents. The exhibition also has woodcuts (Ukiyo-e) by important Japanese artists such as Hokusai (1760-1849), Kunisada (1786-1864) and Hiroshige (1797–1858).
