CORFU. "We΄re not leaving," say the ex-contract workers who have put up tents outside the Town Hall.
The former Corfu Municipal contract workers who weren't included in the new list of permanent personnel drawn up by the Public Recruitment Office (ASEP) are demanding their jobs back. Even though most of them have many years experience, they were excluded from the list.
They took action yesterday by camping outside the Municipal Building. Several claim that they also have holiday pay due to them which hasn't been paid - and all they have to look forward to is the nightmare of unemployment.
