‘Faro Zois’: Collecting gifts for children in need

CORFU. There were some children who couldn’t make it to the ‘Faros Zois’ (Lighthouse of Life) event on Friday 22nd in Anunciata Square.
Not because they didn’t want to, but because they couldn’t. Due to health problems, they will be spending Christmas in hospital.
It was for these children that Faros Zois once again organized an event offering love and collecting gifts. People came and offered gifts to the children who sleep and wake up in hospital beds rather than in comfortable beds at home with their own Christmas tree.
The public’s response to the event was moving. Some shops also offered better prices when they were told where the presents were going to be given. All the gifts that were collected will be shared amongst the children in the Tumour Unit ‘Elpida’ (Hope).
