‘Half’ the government will be in Corfu for development conference

This is the seventh in the series of development conferences for the 13 Regions. It begins on Tuesday 5th with a speech by the Minister of Justice, St. Kontonis, MP for Zakynthos, and ends the following day with a speech by the Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras.
The conference, which will take place at the Ionian Park Hotel, is part of the national development strategy plan, 2021. Also participating in the conference will be the Minister and Deputy Minister of Health, Ksanthos and Polakis, Minister and Deputy Minister of Education, Gavroglou and Baxevanakis, Minister of Culture, Koniordou, Deputy Minister for Sport, Antonopoulou, Minister for Tourism, Elena Kountoura, Deputy Minister for Employment, R. Antonopoulou, Minister and Deputy Minister of Economy, D. Papadimitriou and Al. Charitsis, Minister for the Environment, Stathakis, Marine Minister, Kouroublis and Minister and Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Apostolou and Tsironis.
The mayor of Corfu will give the opening address at the main event, followed by the regional governor. The Prime Minister, Alexis Tsipras, will give his speech at 19:30.
The regional members from the ‘Popular Unity’ political party will not participate in the conference.
