New Israeli ambassador to visit Corfu in October

CORFU. Pninát Yanai’s visit is expected to take place in mid-October. The programme of her meetings on the island has not yet been announced.
According to available information, Israel’s new ambassador to Greece, Pninát Yanai, is planning a visit to Corfu in mid-October. The exact date, meetings and purpose of the visit have not been disclosed.
Yanai recently took up her post at the Israeli Embassy in Athens, succeeding Noam Katz. She is a lawyer and strategic adviser. According to the biography published by the embassy, she has worked with Israeli companies in the defence, security and energy sectors. The embassy itself lists tourism, culture and energy among the areas of cooperation between Greece and Israel.
Attention in Corfu is now turning to the programme that will be announced: whom the ambassador will meet and what issues will be discussed during her meetings. So far, the information about the visit has not been accompanied by an official announcement or a specific timetable.
