House fire in Kalafationes causes extensive property damage

An alarm was raised on Wednesday night, July 29, after a fire broke out at a house in the village of Kalafationes. Firefighters, a Civil Protection team, and police officers were immediately dispatched to the scene to tackle the blaze and manage traffic.

Thanks to the swift and effective response of the Fire Service, the fire was brought under control and completely extinguished before it could spread to nearby homes. According to reports, the house was unoccupied and locked at the time the fire broke out, and no injuries were reported.

Despite the rapid response, the blaze caused extensive and severe damage to the property. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Fire Service's investigating department.
