Corfu Vespa Club joins Vespa΄s 80th Anniversary celebrations in Rome

The members of the Corfu Vespa Club travelled to Rome to take part in the anniversary events marking 80 years of Vespa, held from June 25 to 28 in the Italian capital. According to the club’s announcement, the Corfu delegation consisted of nine Vespas and eleven friends of the historic two-wheeler, who chose to experience up close the year’s largest international gathering of Vespa enthusiasts.

From Corfu to Rome: The Corfu Vespa Club took part in the anniversary celebrations marking 80 years of the historic Italian scooter.

The “Vespa Roma 2026 – 80 Years of an Icon” event replaced this year’s established Vespa World Days and brought together clubs and riders from more than 60 countries in Rome. The centre of the celebrations was the Foro Italico, where the “Vespa Village” was set up, featuring exhibitions, skill contests, cultural activities, and presentations of historic models.

Colour, history, and Italian style filled the streets of Rome, with the Corfu Vespa Club representing Corfu at the international Vespa celebration.

A standout moment of the four-day event was the grand parade through the streets of Rome, with thousands of Vespas of every age and engine size passing iconic landmarks of the “Eternal City,” offering a unique spectacle for residents and visitors alike. According to international media, more than 10,000 riders took part in the procession, confirming that Vespa remains a global symbol of Italian design, freedom, and lifestyle.

For the Corfu Vespa Club, its presence in Rome was another opportunity to promote Corfu within the international community of Vespa enthusiasts, as well as to take part in an event honouring eighty years of history of one of the world’s most iconic two-wheelers.
