10th School Radio Festival: 1,000 pupils, 4 days, 1 microphone

CORFU. The party has begun! Check out the programme:

The 10th European School Radio Festival kicked off dynamically yesterday, Wednesday, with an impressive opening ceremony at the Nafsithoio, setting the tone for the great celebration of audio creativity that will take place in Corfu until Saturday, April 25.

The Event Programme

The festival continues today, Thursday, April 23, with participants diving straight into action. The morning began with team introductions at the Corfu Gymnastic Club, while from 11:00 to 13:00 specialised radio workshops are being held. The afternoon is dedicated to exploration, with outdoor activities and visits, and the day will conclude in the most upbeat way: the DJ Party “Youth in the Mix” (19:30 – 23:00), where pupil producers will take over the decks!

Music and Tradition: Friday, April 24

Tomorrow’s schedule is divided between creativity and culture:

09:00 – 15:00: At Nafsithoio, pupils from the 1st and 2nd High Schools join in teams to create and present podcasts.

09:30 – 13:30: At the same time, the Music Stage hosts pupil bands in a live radio broadcast.

18:00 – 21:00: The setting moves to the town’s historic centre for the Traditional Dance Festival.

Grand Finale: Saturday, April 25

The festival concludes with the highly anticipated awards of the “Make It Heard 2026” competition:

09:00 – 11:30: Podcast Awards Ceremony at the Ionian Academy.

12:00 – 14:00: Song Awards Ceremony at the iconic Spianada Square.

14:00 – 15:00: The official Closing Ceremony will bid farewell to the 1,000 participants, renewing the appointment for next year.

With the collaboration of the Ionian University and leading professional mentors, Corfu has become the global hub of the pupil voice these days. Stay tuned!
