Second vehicle for Help at Home
CORFU. Deputy Mayor Christos Skourtis stated, “The fleet of vehicles in use is already quite old and technologically outdated.”
The Municipality of Central Corfu has acquired and received a second service vehicle for the “Help at Home” Programme.
Since May 2023, when the “Help at Home” Programme was officially integrated into our Municipality, it has been operating in the Municipal Units of Achilleio, Kerkyraioi, Paleokastritsa, Parelia, and Faiakes, providing services to 200 residents, with the possibility of further expansion.
The vehicles currently in use are already quite old and technologically outdated.
Upgrading the fleet with modern, fully equipped vehicles significantly improves the programme’s daily operation and ensures faster and more effective service for our residents.
With a focus on social cohesion and ensuring dignified living conditions for all, the Municipality continues to invest in social welfare initiatives, aiming to offer support services to the elderly, people with disabilities, and any member of the public in need.
