Spot checks for undeclared income from Airbnb services
The Tax Office has set up a system of spot checks to detect taxpayers who rent out accommodation via the Airbnb internet platform but do not declare the rental income in their tax declarations.
How ‘Stayover Tax’ will be charged
CORFU. A circular regarding the Stayover Tax has been issued. The tax is to be fully charged to each customer even in the case of the accommodation being rented to more than one customer on the same day.

The deadline to pay road tax for 2018, which was 31st December – 29th for those paying at the bank or post office – has been extended to Friday 5th 2018.

CORFU. The Federation of Entrepreneurs of Corfu Tourism Enterprises (OETK) claim that, with the overnight tax, the government is putting a noose around the neck of legitimate businesses and allowing illegal businesses to continue receiving customers with impunity.
