ATHENS. The Finance Ministry has extended the deadline for road tax payment for a second time - to the end of January.
According to information, the relevant Ministerial decision will be signed by the Deputy Finance Minister Katerina Papanatsiou for the convenience of the tax-payers due to the adverse weather conditions.
A condition of the extension is that the tax be paid at Tax Offices.
A reminder that those who don't pay the road tax on time will be fined the same amount as their tax. For example, if a car owner has to pay 85.50 Euros road tax, then with the fine he or she will have to pay 171 Euros.
It will be possible a month later to arrange 24 installments to pay the debt - including interest.
