4th High School visits Caribbean with Erasmus+ programme
CORFU. It was, without doubt, a journey full of experiences and stimuli for both the pupils and the teachers.
(4th High School) In December 2024, our school embarked on a journey into the world of Erasmus. As part of the programme “Climate is changing, what about us?”, first-year high school pupils Anastasia Eskitzioglou and Paraskevi Kolovou, accompanied by the school principal Giorgios Kefallonitis and teacher Fotini Pravita, travelled to the Caribbean, specifically to Guadeloupe, where the programme's first working meeting was held. Pupils from two schools in Guadeloupe, as well as from Greece, Italy and Lithuania, collaborated creatively.
A significant moment for the Greek delegation was their meeting with a section of L.G.T Bambridge High School that studies ancient Greek. The pupils showed incredible engagement, and it was truly remarkable to hear and write Greek in such a remote destination as the Caribbean.
It was, without doubt, a journey full of experiences and stimuli for both the pupils and the teachers.
The upcoming meetings of the programme will take place in Italy, Lithuania and Corfu, concluding in Guadeloupe in May 2026.
