Sailing vessel adrift east of Corfu

CORFU. The vessel docked safely at Gouvia Marina accompanied by the Coast Guard.
The Coast Guard received a call on Saturday evening, August 9, about a mechanical failure on a sailing vessel flying the flag of France, 3 nautical miles east of Corfu.
The vessel, which had six people on board, became adrift and required the assistance of a patrol boat and a tugboat, which led the sailing vessel to Gouvia Marina where it docked safely.
Corfu Central Port Authority prohibited the vessel from departing until a seaworthiness certificate is provided by the classification society that monitors it. No injuries were reported from the incident, and no marine pollution was observed.
