Fishing boat sinks in Erikoussa

CORFU. There was no fuel, and no one was aboard.
(Hellenic Coast Guard) Early Sunday morning, a Coast Guard patrol spotted a fishing boat that had sunk just ten metres from the pier at the port of Erikoussa. According to the owner, the boat went down three days earlier, on Thursday, February 5, due to poor local weather conditions in the northern Ionian Sea. He added that the vessel had no fuel and no one was on board at the time. An investigation into the incident is being carried out by the Othoni Port Authority.
