Arrest of minor for computer scams

A young boy was arrested in Corfu following an investigation by police officers, in collaboration with Nea Filadelfeia-Nea Chalkidona police, for the offence of repeated computer fraud. His mother was also arrested for neglecting her supervision of him.
According to the investigation, since last August, the boy had made several online orders from a shop in Athens at different times, bypassing the payment process through the interbank system and paying a smaller amount than the actual value of the ordered items.
During searches conducted at the boy's home in Corfu and other locations he used, the following items were found and confiscated:
- 3 mobile phones
- 1 smart watch
- 2 pairs of headphones
- 1 gaming console
- computer components
- 820 euros
The preliminary investigation into the case was conducted by Corfu police, while the investigation continues to determine the possible involvement of other individuals.
