ATHENS. Thousands of posts were evaluated for the second quarter of 2024 based on the analysis of data from the internet and social media by the Greek Tourism Confederation Institute (INSETE).

Greece, both overall and each region individually, maintained its competitiveness regarding the visitor experience, with a rating higher than the European average. The satisfaction level remained very high (Greece: 9.2 and Athens: 9.1) and significantly higher than Europe's overall rating (8.9).

Thessaly and Western Macedonia received the highest ratings during the April-June quarter.

Visitors increasingly prefer to travel to areas outside the main cities.

The workforce, cultural experience, gastronomy, and sea experience receive the highest ratings.

There is an increase in discussions about high temperatures and wildfires (especially in June), affecting the country's reputation and the tourist experience.
