Double-digit increase in international flight arrivals continues
CORFU. June is expected to have a particularly high number of arrivals from the very first week, as the number of flights from several airports is being increased.
May concluded with a 13.3% increase in the number of international flight arrivals. Overall, Corfu Airport had 1,201 arrivals, compared to 1,060 in May of last year.
According to the President of Corfu Civil Aviation Employees Union, Dimitris Roussos, there were 575 flights from the UK, which is top of the list, (458 last year), 261 from Germany (264), 75 from France (62), Poland 63 (65), Belgium 46 (25), the Netherlands 34 (36), Italy 26 (21), Spain 20, Switzerland 18 (11), Ireland 16 (21), Latvia 15 (7), and Austria 12 (24).
June is expected to have a particularly high number of arrivals from the very first week, as the number of flights from several airports is being increased, while there are new flights from other places such as Malta, Venice, Naples, Bologna, Rome, Zagreb, Turin, Niš (Serbia), Sofia, Budapest, Bucharest, Vilnius (Lithuania), Aarhus (Denmark), Bratislava, Shannon (Ireland), Poznań & Gdańsk (Poland), Dubai (from 15/6), Bari, Bolzano (Italy), Pécs (Hungary), etc.
