Criminal charges brought against 17-year-old

CORFU. Police conducted an investigation into the case and the arrested individual will be brought to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.

Criminal charges for the offences of attempted manslaughter, grievous bodily harm against more than one person, as well as for possession of a weapon, have been brought against the 17-year-old perpetrator of the violent attack in San Rocco.

According to the police statement, on Wednesday afternoon in San Rocco Square, the 17-year-old attempted to strike, initially with a knife, a 19-year-old girl, who was slightly injured in her attempt to immobilise him.

Subsequently, the 17-year-old wounded two minors aged 14 and 17, as well as a 49-year-old foreign national who rushed to the scene to help.

 

The Police were immediately called, resulting in the identification and arrest of the perpetrator in a suburb of the town, during which his knife, used for the aforementioned acts, was found and seized.

Police conducted an investigation into the case and the arrested individual will be brought to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.
