Creation of a Friends of Palestine Committee
CORFU. An event was held on Palestine with Nasim Alatras, a Palestinian journalist, as speaker. Another event to be held on 17 November at the History Department at 18:00.
An event was held in support of Palestine with the presence of dozens of people on Saturday 11 November at the Corfu Workers' Centre. Nasim Alatras, a journalist from Palestine, spoke at the event, which was followed by questions and comments from those present in a warm atmosphere. In the end it was decided to create a Friends of Palestine Committee on the island.
The event was warmly welcomed by those present and many suggestions were made to highlight the issue. Palestine now has declared supporters in Corfu.
Call
Another event will be held at the 50th Polytechnic anniversary, with a connection between the highlight of the anti-imperialist and anti-fascist struggle of our people and the current struggle of the Palestinian people. The Friends of Palestine Committee is calling everyone on 17 November at the History Department at 18.00.
