Corfu Airport to close again this winter
CORFU. According to a NOTAM issued by Fraport.
The island will be without air connection again this winter for four weeks, two before and two after the holidays, as works to improve the airport's infrastructure will continue.
This means that those wishing to travel at that time will be forced to go overland.
According to Fraport's NOTAM, Corfu Airport will be closed from 21 November to 4 December and then it will close again from 16 to 29 January 2024.
During the closure only helicopter ambulance flights will be able to take off and land at the airport.
The works, which began last winter, involve the repair of the runway, creation of safety areas and technological equipment to eliminate the observations made by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
