CORFU. Tourists are being taken back to their holiday accommodation in North Corfu.

Tourists who spent the night at the Municipal Theatre and the former Prefecture are now being returned to their hotels. Departure to areas in North Corfu, such as Nissaki and Kalami, started shortly after 8:30 in the morning with company tourist coaches and vans.

Despite being tired, they told Enimerosi that they had been well looked after throughout their stay both at the Municipal Theatre and the former prefecture building.

Civil Protection Service personnel took care of all their needs, such as water and food.

"We were treated very well. They offered us everything we needed. We were not afraid at all. Now we are ready to return to our hotel in Kalami and continue our holiday," Nick O'Hare from Liverpool told Enimerosi.

"We arrived in Corfu yesterday, but we didn't even have time to check in. We came straight here. Everyone has been very kind to us. Now we are waiting to be taken to our hotel to continue our holiday," Ms Jackson from England told Enimerosi. She is visiting Corfu for the second time with her family.
