Two arrested for retail burglaries
CORFU. They stole from prperties in Kontokali, Tzavros and Skripero. An accomplice is still being sought.
Two men were arrested yesterday morning (17/5) and charged with theft. They are implicated in three retail burglaries that took place in the early morning hours of Tuesday 16th in the areas of Kontokali, Tzavros and Skripero along with an underage accomplice, who is still being sought.
According to the police investigation, their involvement was identified in cases of burglary at a car dealership, a pastry shop, and a filling station, from which they stole a total amount of €940 and electronic scales worth €1,200.
The case file includes the mother of the underage individual who is implicated, for neglecting supervision, while the vehicle they used during their illegal activities was seized.
They were brought to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor and their involvement in other similar criminal acts is also being looked into.
