Traffic Police checks in Corfu, Cephalonia and Lefkada

Between 07:00 and 13:00 on 24 August traffic police in Corfu, Cephalonia and Lefkada carried out checks for driving offences. 323 vehicles were checked and there was one arrest for driving without a licence.

There was a total of of 154 driving offences including the following:

- 21 speeding
- 14 not wearing crash helmet
- 11 not wearing seat belts
- 3 without driving licences
- 2 driving on wrong side of the road

There were also four vehicles parked in Special Needs spots and 6 vehicles were immobilised for driving without a licence, not wearing crash helmets, being uninsured and without MOT certificate.
