Two arrested for setting fire to motorbike in Platytera - one was a minor

CORFU. The two arrested were taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.
Two people - one of them a minor - were arrested yesterday for arson, theft and damage to property.
On Sunday afternoon, 20 February, the two entered the outside area of the former Church Conference Centre in Corfu Town and set fire to a motorbike, completely destroying it, damaged two cars and then stole a small amount of money and other objects from a drawer on the ground floor of the building.
The two were questioned by the police and searches carried out at their homes in the presence of a judicial officer, where some of the takings were found and returned to their owners.
