Euroferry Olympia being towed

The Grimaldi Lines ferry boat Euroferry Olympia, which waas travelling from Igoumenitsa to Brindisi when fire broke out early on Friday morning, is now being towed towards the south.

The firefighters have stopped working but smoke is still pouring from the ship, as can be seen from the photo taken from the north coast of Corfu.

Taking advantage of the good weather, the ship is being towed towards the straits between Corfu and Albania to be closer the Corfu coastline in case the weather worsens, as has been forecast.
