CORFU. Fire victims left without belongings and travel documents.
Passengers and crew from the Euroferry Olympia are being accommodated at Corfu hotels but have been left without their belongings and travel documents.
For those who are following a daily course of medicine, Corfu Hospital is ensuring that the medicines they need are provided for their particular health condition.
According to hospital administration sources, doctors from the hospital are being made available if any health problems occur.
Yesterday, on arrival at the port, ten passengers were taken by ambulance to the hospital, seven of whom had respiratory problems. Four of them were later discharged.
Late last night, two drivers who had been trapped on the ship were freed and taken to Corfu by Super Puma helicopter. One of them is intubated due to the large amount of smoke inhaled. His situation is said to be under control and he is in no danger.
