CORFU. The residents immediately embraced the project and expressed their desire to work voluntarily at recycling centres.
Acharavi Psychosocial Rehabilitation Hostel now has its own recycling centre.
On Wednesday 10 November, North Corfu Mayor Giorgos Mahimaris and Deputy Mayor for Circular Economy, Environment and Public Relations Spyridoula Kokkali attended the simple opening ceremony outside the hostel with the supervisor, staff and residents.
The residents immediately embraced the project and listened carefully to the Deputy Mayor's guidelines for sorting materials correctly and several of them along with the supervisor and staff expressed their desire to work voluntarily at recycling centres.
They will also be able to express their creativity through upcycling materials from the recycling centres.
