CORFU. Special bins at Acharavi Town Hall, former Kassiopi-Kouloura municipal office, Agros KEP and Sidari municipal office.

Statement from North Corfu Municipality:

North Corfu Municipality is at the forefront of efforts to promote and develop circular economy and green sustainable development and received the 1st Green Award for "Recycling Programme with sorting at source in collaboration with volunteers or NGOs" in the category "Awards for 1st Level Local Authority Organisations" at The Economist Metropolitan Summit in Thessaloniki. The Municipality is now extending its collection network and is the first to reuse and recycle toners and printer consumables.

The reuse and recycling of these materials helps protect the environment, benefits the local economy (saving resources) and also develops the community economy.

The mutual benefits that come from 'green' conversion help North Corfu residents economically and environmmentally. We are sure that the citizens of North Corfu will embrace this latest development just as they have embraced all the other efforts to protect the environment by reusing and recycling.

We call on all members of the public to take part in this recycling effort by putting their empty printer ink cartridges and photocopying toners in the special bins at the following locations:

- Acharavi Town Hall
- Former Kassiopi-Kouloura municipal office
- Agros KEP
- Sidari municipal office.

The following items are collected in the special bins:

- Ink jet
- Toners
- Drums

The following are not collected:

- Bottles
- Ink ribbons
- Pantum printer ink
