On Sunday 29 August Lefkimmi Police arrested four people – two Greeks and two foreign nationals – in two different cases of theft.

In the first case, the two Greeks – a man and a woman – were identified following a police investigation, which revealed their involvement in four thefts recently in rented accommodation in the Kavos area, from which they stole more than €1,000. In the second case two foreign nationals were identified in Kavos, who, as revealed by an investigation early yesterday morning (29/8) and on Saturday 21 August, stole mobile phones from two tourists, with a total value of approximately €2,000. The mobile phones were found and returned to their owners.

Lefkimmi Police is conducting an investigation into both cases and the arrested persons were taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor.
