1st and 2nd High Schools closed along with 3rd Year of 3rd High School

CORFU. Corfu Secondary Education Department announced that Corfu 1st and 2nd High Schools will remain temporarily closed.
The decision was taken in order to limit the transmission of the virus following infections amongst pupils.
This morning some pupils attempted to hold a sit-in demanding the disinfection of all the classrooms. However, the sit-in didn't go ahead and pupils attended their classes as normal.
Some classes in the 2nd High School had already been suspended yesterday - Class 1 in the 2nd Year and Classes 2 and 3 in the 3rd Year - due to two teachers and a pupil testing positive for Covid.
As well as the two aforementioned schools, the 3rd Year in the 3rd High School has also been temporarily closed as a precautionary measure following positive cases amongst the pupils.
In all cases the necessary health protocols were followed and pupils will be following lessons online.
