Central Corfu Municipality to carry out maintenance and repair works in more schools
CORFU. The works concern the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th Junior High Schools, the Liapades Junior High School, the 2nd Vocational High School, the Korakiana Vocational High School, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd High Schools and the Kastellani Mesi school.
Mayor Meropi Ydraiou signed the contract for the repair and maintenance of even more schools of the Central Corfu Municipality with the representative of the contracting company, in the presence of the Deputy Mayor for Technical Works Nikos Kalogeros. The €306,100 project includes major interventions in 8 schools of the Municipality and is expected to start immediately.
The works concern the 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 6th Junior High Schools, the Liapades Junior High School, the 2nd Vocational High School, the Korakiana Vocational High School, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd High Schools and the Kastellani Mesi school.
The repair and maintenance works to be carried out include removal and maintenance of plasterwork, paintwork, replacement of doors, maintenance and replacement of windows, inspection and maintenance of roofs, replacement of drains and paving in parts of the schoolyards and sports grounds.
After the signing of the contract, the Mayor stated the following: "We continue our planning for the maintenance, upgrading and improvement of the infrastructure for our children and the educational community as a whole. We have carried out many repair works in our schools, we are moving forward with planning for the construction of new school facilities. We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that all schools operate under safe and modern conditions."
