Car goes up in flames - driver in hospital with burns

CORFU. A car went up in flames in Karoubatika early on Monday morning.
The incident took place just after 2 in the morning at the Pelekas junction - the cause is as yet unknown.
A security employee working for a business in the area spotted the flames and called the Fire Department, who rushed to the scene with 7 firefighters to put it out.
The driver had fallen out and was taken to hospital suffering from burns. The car was completely burnt out.
The Fire Department is conducting an investigation into the cause of the accident.
