Fire on MSC Lyrica cruise ship in Corfu now under control

CORFU. Firefighters have now got the fire on MSC Lyrica in Corfu Port under control.
The fire broke out at approximately 15:30 and it is not yet known what the cause was.
Along with the firefighters, others who helped in the operation were the Coastguard, ferry boats transporting the fire engines, tugs Municipal watertankers and a Fraport fire engine from Corfu Airport.
No injuries have been reported.
