Announcement by Spyros Neratzis from All Together for Corfu.
Spyros Neratzis announced that 30 tons of recyclable materials were shipped from the island. He told Enimerosi that the materials - packaging and clothing - were being taken to two units in Attica and Thessaloniki for sorting and recycling.
In his announcement he said: "Today 30 tons didn't go to Temploni! We would like to thank our colleagues who once again happily supported our efforts, the Recycle Centre and Dimitris Kotsis, Kava Diapon and Mr. Tasoulas, the Corfu transport company Balls Bros and all the volunteers at the island's Green Spots. We would also like to thank all the members of the public for their efforts in recycling clothes, plastic bottle tops, paper and other recyclable materials."
