ATHENS. Archbishop Anastasios of Albania, who has recently been confirmed to have mild symptoms of coronavirus, has been transferred to Evaggelismos Hospital in Athens.

According to the announcement, it was considered best to transfer him to Evaggelismos Hospital for hospitalisation.

According to AMNA exclusive information, a Greek Air Force C130 flew to Tirana to transfer the Archbishop, who has been diagnosed with Covid-19, to Athens. Anastasios took a test at a medical centre in Tirana which came out positive for Covid.

Although his symptoms are mild, doctors in Tirana judged it best to transfer him to a specialised clinic in Greece given his age and the fact that he has had problems with his health for several years.

The Greek Prime Minister was informed and gave his permission for a specially equipped C130 to fly to Tirana to transfer the Archbishop.
